Hello, ladies and gentlemen. I will tell you about the reason why I choose education of social science. but before that, I would like to introduce my self. my name is Esi Supianti, I'm an new student at Tanjungpura University majoring Education of Social Science in Teaching and Learning Faculty. I'm form Sambas, West Borneo. I was graduated from senior high school in 2014 but I just can continue my study in University in 2016. Actually, the Education of Social Science Major is not my choice but it's my brother. my dream is to be a nurse, but I know that my parents are not able to fund me. I was disappointed and sad but it's the reality that I had to face. I have lost my will to continue my study in University but my family always support me and give spirit to apply again in 2016.

My brother handled everything from the start. And he choose this major because it's new major and the opportunity to can pass is bigger than other major. Alhamdulillah, I was stated as one of the success applicants that pass in the National Selection to enter the university. Although it's not my choice but studying the social science is very interesting. Because social science is very dynamic and it's not exact. in many cases, we have to think a problem form various perspectives and theories. And it's challenging to me to can solve that problem and study more about the social science. To be a teacher is also a noble work and I realize that I can't be like this without teachers who teach me. I hope that everything can be run well and i can be a useful person for this nation. Amiin

Selfie or self portrait is one of the famous activity today. Not just youth who like to do selfie but the older also even the U.S President, Barack Obama has do selfie, and so do I. Like another person, I also like to do selfie but actually it is just for my private collection and I seldom to upload my photo to the public. Because I believe that there is a limitation for a women to expose her face to the other people.
Selfie is an art. Yes, I think so. Because it's an art how to make a good picture with own effort and take by our self. In the photo above, it's one of the my selfie photo. I often use my mouth to make some expression. Because with use it, it makes me quite cute. heeeee

Tenses
1. Simple Present Tense
Simple Present Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan habitual action / rutinitas dan fakta-fakta umum (sekarang).
Rumus:

Untuk subject I, you, they, we → V1
Untuk subject She, He, It → V1 + (s/es)

Today I would like to tell you, the things that I always bring everywhere. This things is very important for me and I can’t separate it. Actually I have many, but today I just want to tell you 3 of them.
1. Glasses

I had problem with my eye, I have gotten the myopia since I in the senior high school. But I don’t always wear the glasses every time. I will use it when I’m reading or in class listening the lecturer lectures us.

2. Al-Qur’an

It is also very important to me. I always bring the Al-Qur’an in my bag. I usually recite it when I have spare time and nothing to do. And I always feel safe and composed when I always bring it.

If we talk about a film where the story like my life story is quite difficult. But I have one film that inspire me and the story is a little bit same with my story. The film title is Mimpi Ananda Raih Semesta or MARS. This film is released in May 4th 2016. This movie tells the story of the struggle of a mother named Tupon in raising his daughter, Sekar Palupi, amid the limitations she has, to the success and dreams can be achieved by the child. The inspiring story of the mother and child was marked by tears and loss, but the obstacles for the sake of the obstacles cannot stop their footsteps. Resigned to the situation and giving up is the last choice. Against this background of harsh life miserable in the village of Gunung Kidul.

And so do i. I’m not from the haves family. My mother and my father always tell me that I may not have life same like them. With the limitation they have, they struggle to give the best effort to their children mainly in education. And I can study in University like this also because of their effort who never show me their tired, the old age, and etc. because they always want their children can be success and have a better life.

Smart phone or android become one of the primary need of every people in the world. It’s really awkward when someone doesn’t have smartphone or android. Many application in smartphone or android. And one of the application that I used the most is WhatsApp.

Yups, WhatsApp, a social media where many people use. whatsApp helps me to communicate with many people whether in personal chatting or group chatting. WhatsApp is a free to download messenger app for smartphones. WhatsApp uses the internet to send messages, images, audio or video. The service is very similar to text messaging services however, because WhatsApp uses the internet to send messages, the cost of using WhatsApp is significantly less than texting. It is popular with teenagers because of features like group chatting, voice messages and location sharing.

For me, I used whatsApp because of the group chatting. Many of organization or institution that I join, use WhatsApp to communicate each other. Because it’s easier in group chatting and don’t cost many time to text my friend or colleague one by one. But also sometime I feel annoyed because of it’s needed update often but I still use it.

Everyone surely has their own favorite place to go. But if someone ask me what is the favorite place that I often to go, emmmm I think there is no valid answer from me. because I'm the new comer in the Pontianak City, so there are not many place that i have visited. But I have one place that I like it since i come to Pontianak. That is The Museum of Kalimantan Barat.

I already visited the Museum twice. I like this place because this place save the the historic items form West Borneo and it's interesting to know our own historic. The place is also comfortable for visitors and the we just pay Rp 1.000 to can enter the museum. the surroundings of the main building of this museum is also so attractive. We can find the replica of the palace from any region in West Borneo, there is a replica of floating home, the Lancang Kuning Ship, and etc. So, if you came to Pontianak City, don't forget to visit this place.

What is a synonym? Etymologically, the word synonym comes from the ancient Greek that is onoma which means 'name' and syn which means 'with'. The word literally means the synonym 'another name for the object or the same thing'. So, synonym is a word that has a different shape, but has a meaning or definition of the same or similar.

The Erosion of Culture in Indonesian society.

To save time, I will directly deliver a speech about the erosion of culture in Indonesian society.

Ladies and Gentlemen

Since the past, culture has been ingrained in Indonesian society, the culture is varies greatly from one region to another region and it would be different. We as a next generation just inherits it and is expected to maintain and preserve the culture. But in this era, the cultural values in society has begun to fade even there are some who began to disappear.

One of the reason is the globalization that could shift cultural values that have been inherent in the people of Indonesia. Many young people today are not like the culture of their homeland, they prefer to imitate foreign culture that is contrary to the culture of Indonesia.

Ladies and Gentlemen

As the next generation we should love and protect the culture that has been inherited from the past, so exist cultural values can be inherited to our children and grandchildren. If younger generation does not know the values of the culture of the nation, it is easily the cultural values claimed by other countries,

We as a next generation also should strive as much as possible and keep the cultural values that have been formed. Since the formation of culture requires a very long time and is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand.

And today, as we are all aware, the regional culture began to fade replaced by Western culture which is exalted by the younger generation. Whereas the westerners more appreciate the local culture of Indonesia. Because they appreciate the originality of a culture.

In addition, the claims of neighboring countries on the culture of us also proved that the culture that we have is one of the outstanding culture in the world.

Therefore, let us together preserve our own culture and we should be proud of our culture that is very extraordinary.

My Karaoke Song

If we talk about Karaoke, I think not everyone will like it and I'm one of them. I never went to Karaoke even once. Maybe, in my hometown there is not something like that. But, if someone ask me of my favorite song that I always sing, i will answer the song "Ayat-Ayat Cinta" by Rossa. I love Rossa, and so do with her song. I like "Ayat-Ayat Cinta" because it is the original soundtrack of the film with the same title. The song is very heart touching, good lyrics, and the nice melody, and etc. I like to sing the song in my past days but right now I seldom to singing.

The song is sounded nice because it is supported by the singer, Rossa. Yes, Rossa is one of the famous female singer in Indonesia and some of in the southeast Asia country mainly Malaysia and Singapore. She has good voice and everyone acknowledge it. She also got many awards.

A Letter to my younger self and my self in 10 years later

Dear my past,

Please forgive me. Forgive to waste your time with the useless things. Forgive me to be lazy. Forgive me to be arrogant. Forgive me to be selfish. And forgive me for all the stupid things that i have done. I just regret for all the stupid things that i have done. But, I will not forget it. It is the best teacher that will teach me to be the better person.

Dear my future,

It is my promise. The promise to don't screw my future. The promise to don't waste my time again. And I can't wait, what my future will be. I will try to make my future better. In the future, i will make sure that you will be the good teacher for your student, the good wife for your husband, the good mother for your children, the good muslimah for your religion, the good child for your parents, the good sister for your siblings, and the good women for your society. And it's my promise to you my future.

If there is question "if it is my last meal on earth-what do i choose?", I will easily answer it "meat ball or Bakso". Meat ball is the food from the meat that shape like a ball. I like meatball since I'm young. I like to ask my parents or my older brother to buy me a meatball. And if it is my last meal in this world, so i will choose meat ball. Meat ball is very delicious, and the price also is not expensive so everyone affords to buy it. Beside i'm is the noodle lovers, the meatball it's self has it's own sensation to eat. I like "Bakso Urat or Urat Meatball".

Meatball can be find everywhere, that's why I can be easy to find it. The price also diverse, it starts from IDR 10.000. But right now, I'm more be careful to consume the meatball because there is some issue that the meatball contains borax. Borax is one of the preservatives that can harm our body. And for the safety, it's better to make the meatball by our self in the home.

Today, i would like to tell you about my hometown. My hometown is Sambas. Sambas is one of the district in West Borne Province. If you come to Sambas, the things that you have to do is "TRAVELLING". Yups, travelling is the best one if you come to Sambas. There are so many tourism spots that you can be visited.

In the Sambas City, you can come to Keraton Sambas.

In the Sambas, you can also excursion the river in Sambas by boat. And the important one is to try the special food from sambas. That is "Bubur Pedas". Actually, there are so many place that you have to visit but for right now I just mention one of them. I hope that you can enjoy the Sambas City.
